One of my favorite things to do alone or with my kiddo is to go on Inspiration Hunts. This usually involves going on a walk with a camera. Spring is one of my favorite times to do an inspiration hunt. It makes me switch my mind frame from what is going on in my life, to being aware of what is around me.
I get back in touch with nature. I become aware of my environment. I notice things I am often too detached to notice. Yesterday my son and I went on a walk and inspiration hunt. We found various flowers, brilliant bright tulips, a water fountain, a bug sculpture hiding in tall grass, Chinese lamps hanging on a front porch, and we made lots of dandelion wishes. After my walks I always feel relaxed and happy. I sometimes even take pictures. It’s such a great way to change a mindset, get the creative juices flowing, and change the way I am actually seeing things.
Go on your own Inspiration Hunt. What things do you discover that are in your everyday life that you rarely notice?
